I used all my new training skills (i had never managed a team before) to take the team to the top performing team in the center within 4 months.I did it my way by coaching ,which was one of my favorite leadership skills combined with a couple of others.This did not go down well with the other 29 managers who accused me of cheating and they were not prepared to coach there teams .I was suspended for a week to establish if I had cheated and guest what a big NO just good leadership. The call centers manager and his manager saw what I was achieving and asked me to go down to Bristol (a call center that was not performing it was a mess) It was there I introduced my methods of leadership not management. I worked with110 managers and presented my training to the managers both individually and in groups. Within 4 months I had a letter from Alan Cunningham the call center Director to tell me the difference my training had made to the figures in the center,reducing the sickness and absenteeism by 42 % and saying a lot of nice thing about my leadership style quoting my favorite saying YOU CAN NEVER DEMAND RESPECT BUT YOU CAN COMMAND RESPECT(a copy of this letter is available within my course) More importantly the big difference it made to the call center overall statistics .I have made a lot of money by training other company manager and I do not want travel all over the country any more,I have been with my wife for a long time and want to spend more time with her and my daughter.
